Vocal Producing “Glamorous Life” by Lady Gaga for The Devil Wears Prada 2

Almost twenty years after the original film first reached audiences, The Devil Wears Prada 2 brought the story back to theaters with a new chapter. Alongside that return came a rare musical opportunity: “Glamorous Life,” a track built around a previously unheard solo performance by Lady Gaga.

Being brought in as a vocal producer on the record meant helping shape how those vocals lived in the final track. The goal was to support the emotion and presence already in the performance while making sure it felt clear, connected, and ready for a new audience.

That balance was an important part of the process. The song had to sit within the world of fashion, honor the artist’s voice, and still work as a record that could stand on its own outside the movie.

The response made the experience even more rewarding. After its release, the track debuted at No. 5 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, showing that the music connected not only as part of the film, but also with listeners beyond it.

The project became a reminder of how the right vocal performance can carry across decades, finding new life in a film, a song, and a new audience.
